Culture Club insist reunion isn't about money

Culture Club have denied that they reunited because of the lure of cash.

The band recently announced plans to play a series of UK arena shows in the winter - their first dates in the country in 15 years.

Speaking to the Mirror, singer Boy George said that their decision to reform was not driven by money.

He said: "No-one is offering money, we don't have a record label - it had to be about us finding what we wanted to be. The last month has really done that."

Band member Jon Moss meanwhile compared the group reuniting to dealing with former relationships, saying:

"I get on with my ex very well now - it's the same thing. Most people should be friends with their ex-lovers. Unless something truly terrible has happened, you have to be friends eventually, otherwise it negates why you were together in the first place."
