Pharrell Williams and Pitbull are to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Over the next year, a number of celebrities from different fields in entertainment will be honoured on the illustrious walk.

The music related entrants this year include Williams, Pitbull and producer Dr. Luke. Kool and the Gang and Al Schmitt will also receive stars.

Other celebrities due to be honoured include Will Ferrell, Jennifer Garner and Seth MacFarlane.

Maureen Schultz, Chair of the Walk of Fame selection committee for 2014-2015, commented:

"The Walk of Fame selection committee is excited to announce the Class of 2015 Star Honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We know that the new selections represent the best of the entertainment industry, and will be a great addition to the Walk of Fame for both the Hollywood community and fans from around the world who visit Hollywood every year."

Pitbull said on Twitter: "Excited about my new honor as a Walk of Famer for Class of 2015 (sic)."
