The Libertines look forward to their "truly memorable" reunion

The Libertines are getting excited about their upcoming live shows.

The London quartet make their live return tonight (June 28) with one of two shows at Glasgow Barrowlands. They will then play their biggest ever London show at Hyde Park next weekend on July 5.

In statement on The Libertines’ Facebook page the group shared their thoughts about their reunion shows and what the future holds for the band.

The Libertines wrote: “Tomorrow we make our full live return with the first of two shows in Glasgow, warming up for the big one in Hyde Park next Saturday… We've been on quite a journey getting to this point, and where we go from here - who knows.”

They continued: “What's a safe bet though, is that the next few weeks are going to be truly memorable. The first show in Scotland with all four of us in ten years... and then our biggest ever headline performance in London. Incredible.”

Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to their fans by saying:

“Thanks for sticking with us Albion, and here's one for good old times amigos.”

Following their show in Hyde Park, The Libertines will then go on to headline Benicassim festival on July 19 and continue with a European tour in September.
