American actress and musician Zooey Deschanel has landed a new music deal with Columbia Records.

The She & Him singer, along with her collaborator M. Ward, will release their fourth album via the Sony-owned label later this year.

She & Him previously released four records with the independent label Merge Records, their biggest seller being 2011’s ‘A Very She & Him Christmas’.

Aside from her own music Zooey Deschanel has recruited some A-list stars to make guest appearances in her comedy sitcom ‘New Girl’ over the last few series. The finale of season two featured Taylor swift and Prince popped up in a season three episode.
