Dolly Parton and Metallica enjoy post-Glastonbury sales boost

Dolly Parton and Metallica have enjoyed a surge in sales after performing at Glastonbury at the weekend.

The country icon took to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday afternoon (June 29) as the festival crowd lapped up tracks like 'Jolene'.

Metallica meanwhile headlined the same stage on Saturday (June 28) and gazumped their pre-festival naysayers.

At the time of writing, Parton's greatest hits collection 'Blue Smoke' has shot up to No.5 on the UK iTunes chart.

'The Very Best of Dolly Parton' is also currently resting at No.21.

Metallica's seminal 1991 self-titled record meanwhile is sitting at No.19 on the same chart.
