Lucy Hale auditioned for 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' movie: 'I won't let my family watch the audition tape'

'Pretty Little Liars' actress and country singer Lucy Hale has revealed that she auditioned for the upcoming 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' movie adaptation.

Speaking to MTV News recently, the beauty confessed that she tried out for the role of Anastasia Steele, but lost out to Dakota Johnson: "I think any girl in my demographic would have loved to be a part of it. Mainly, I was just interested in doing something risky and doing something a little different than my character on ‘PLL,’ so it took me out of my comfort zone.”

While she didn't reveal specific details about the content involved in the reading, she joked that the tape is something she wouldn't want family members to ever watch: “Let’s just say I don’t want my grandmother watching this audition tape. It actually was just me [in the audition]. It was a two-page monologue of exactly what you would think it would be."

“Very uncomfortable, but it was sort of one of those things where you just had to go for it or you’re just gonna look lame — hopefully, I didn’t look lame."
