Lily Allen has been confirmed to warm-up for Miley Cyrus on a number of upcoming US dates.

The Brit, who has regularly praised Cyrus's Bangerz Tour live show, will support the 'Wrecking Ball' lady on seven dates.

She will play on the first seven shows of the run, which kicks off on August 1 in Uniondale.

The shows come as a precursor to Allen's headline North America dates in September and October.

The Brit's Miley Cyrus support schedule meanwhile is as follows:

• August 2 - Philadelphia, PA @ Wells Fargo Center
• August 4 - Pittsburgh, PA @ CONSOL Energy Center

• August 7 - Nashville, TN @ Bridgestone Arena
• August 8 - Louisville, KY @ KFC Yum! Center
• August 10 - St Louis, MO @ Scottrade Center
