Katy Perry hit with 'Dark Horse' plagiarism lawsuit

Katy Perry has been sued for alleged plagiarism.

The singer released her hit song 'Dark Horse' as a single from her 2013 album 'Prism', but Christian rapper Flame has now launched a lawsuit.

He believes the tune is too similar to his own song 'Joyful Noise'.

The US rapper added that when 'Dark Horse' is slowed down to the same tempo and lowered in pitch, the similarities are obvious.

Flame also said that the tune has been "irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in 'Dark Horse'."

Perry's 'Dark Horse' reached No.1 on the US Billboard chart and has sold over five million units so far in the country.
