Clean Bandit want to collaborate with Alesha Dixon: "We're all really big fans of her Mis-Teeq days"

Electronic pop purveyors Clean Bandit are eyeing up their next guest vocalist.

The ‘Rather Be’ hit makers have worked with a number of singers on their debut studio album ‘New Eyes’ including Jess Glynne on their aforementioned No. 1 hit and Sharna Bass on their top five single ‘Extraordinary’.

The British quartet have now revealed that they hope to one day feature the vocal talents of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge and former Mis-Teeq rapper Alesha Dixon.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Clean Bandit’s violinist Milan Neil Amin-Smith explained:

“We're all really big fans of her Mis-Teeq days and so we're hoping to make that happen. We used to like her raps so hopefully we'll get her to bring out her rapping.”

Due to Clean Bandit being made up by musicians without a permanent vocalist the band rely on revolving singers.

Milan Neil Amin-Smith also shared who the band wish could feature on their tracks: “Obviously in a dream world we'd work with Beyonce but maybe that's punching a bit above our weight at this stage. I think we'd like to do something with Woodkid on a wider collaborative scale but also people like Drake.”
