My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way has released more details about his upcoming debut solo album.

The US star will unleash 'Hesitant Alien' on September 29 in the UK.

He has also uploaded a teaser video for the record, with a short clip of a song featured.

Commenting on the album, Way said: "My intention was to make 100% uncompromised art, using the currently least radio-friendly instrument - the guitar. I drew a lot of influence from shoe-gaze and Britpop. I want the record to sonically galvanise people...I looked to the Britpop poets like Jarvis Cocker and Damon Albarn, drawing upon everyday life."
