Scouting For Girls on The Vamps, 5SOS and One Direction

'She's So Lovely' hitmakers Scouting For Girls recently sat down for a chat with EntertainmentWise and opened up about British boy bands as well as other groups they've been working with recently.

They recently performed alongside The Vamps at the British Summer Time Hyde Park concert and revealed that they 'tip their caps' to the pop-rock outfit because dealing with fame now in the age of social media must be really difficult:

"I think it’s harder in almost every respect, from getting the deal to social media. The work and commitment needed is colossal for new artists, I really have to tip my cap to them all. That being said, I can remember the three of us spending hours on MySpace, watching some classic detective shows on itv2, trying to build up the fan base, but I suppose we only had the one medium to deal with, there are so many avenues to navigate now."

They were also asked to give their opinion on One Direction, who Scouting For Girls have previously written for, and bass guitarist Greg Churchouse explained that they're proud to see British bands doing so well: "I think it’s a tribute to how the British music industry is viewed around the globe, it’s fantastic! Long may it continue!"

Churchouse then added that his band's frontman, Roy Stride, has been working with Australian pop-punkers 5 Seconds Of Summer lately: "Roy has indeed, he's been spending a lot of time with the 5SOS chaps, along with a load of other artists, it does indeed keep him very busy!"
