Hilary Duff: 'It's scary to get back into the studio and rediscover my voice'

Songstress Hilary Duff recently released her new single 'Chasing The Sun' and has revealed that it has been daunting to get back into the studio and to work on new material after such a long break.

Speaking to HollywoodLife about returning to her pop career, the beauty explained that she felt as though it was the right time and it has been an exciting challenge so far:

"It's scary to get back into the studio and I guess find my voice again. But it's also exciting because I have so much more confidence this time around because I feel so much more confident as a person. After taking such a big break and taking time to live my life, and go and find out who I am and what I'm into, and what kind of mother I am, what kind of wife I am."

Duff went onto add that she knew the time was right to get back into music because she felt as though she had satisfied her other needs, and was free to be creative again:

"I guess I felt like I had done everything I wanted to do, and I really missed that part of my life. I missed being on stage and interacting with my fans the way that I used to. I was ready to share some of my experiences. I missed recording, I missed the whole creative process of making a record."
