Magic! reach No. 1 on UK singles chart with 'Rude'

Canadian band Magic! have climbed to No. 1 with their single ‘Rude’.

‘Rude’ first entered the chart four weeks ago based on audio streams. Upon its official release last week ‘Rude’ advanced 48 places up the chart to reach No. 2. Magic! have now gone one better this week as they have now toppled Cheryl Cole's ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ which has dropped to No. 2.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by a new entry at No. 3 from ZHU with ‘Faded’, Ella Henderson’s ‘Ghost’ is spending it’s eighth week in the top five at No. 4, and a further new entry at No. 5 from Bars And Melody with ‘Hopeful’.

New entries to the rest of the top 40 come from Melissa Steel featuring Popcaan at No. 10 with ‘Kisses For Breakfast’, Bakermat at No. 15 with ‘One Day (Vandaag)’, and rapper Vic Mensa at No. 37 with ‘Down On My Luck’.

This week’s highest climber is Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ which has jumped eight places to reach No. 20.
