Rita Ora has spoken out after cancelling a gig in Holland.

The singer was due to perform at the Sky City Festival on Saturday (August 2) but she pulled out at the last minute.

A statement read: "Regrettably Rita has suffered a middle ear infection and was advised not to fly.

"Unfortunately she cannot do today's gig which is incredibly disappointing for her as she loves Amsterdam and was looking forward to the show."

Ora has since followed this up by taking to Twitter to say: "Wish I could have been with you in Amsterdam @ Sky City – see you soon – promise" I never cancel unless it's serious. Doctors orders."

The Brit meanwhile took to Instagram overnight to suggest that she is working with will.i.am on new material.

She posted a photo of a recording studio set-up, adding: "Last night. Oooooooo what we cooking up in here!! So excited @iamwill."
