Nile Rodgers reveals his funeral song: 'I hope there’s a f*cking party'

Nile Rodgers has picked the song he would like to be played at his funeral.

The legendary guitarist is one of many famous faces who have been asked by NME for their choice of music for their own funeral.

Rodgers plumped for Daft Punk's 2013 hit 'Get Lucky', which he collaborated on.

He said: "I hope there’s a f*cking party! I’d want one of my own songs. Play 'Get Lucky'!"

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich meanwhile picked Oasis' 'Live Forever', adding: "It’s just a phenomenal melody and sentiment. I’m actually not sure I want a funeral though. I think I’d rather people light a candle for me and do things their own way. I’m not that kind of guy."

Gary Numan said: "It might be one of mine. Not because I’m big-headed, but because a funeral is for the people who are there, not for the person who died. I think I honestly will write a song specifically to play at my funeral."
