Pressparty interview Kingsland Road on writing with One Direction's drummer: 'He put huge influences into our music'

Former X Factor finalists Kingsland Road are gearing up to release their debut 'Dirty Dancer' EP and revealed that they worked with Josh Devine, who drums for One Direction, on one of the songs called 'Never Too Late'.

Speaking exclusively to Pressparty earlier this afternoon (August 7), member JJ Thompson explained that they were really keen to get the boyband's drummer into the studio because Devine has a knack for producing that stadium sound they love so much and wanted for their own material:

"We worked with a lot of different people. Josh Devine, who is One Direction’s drummer, he helped write one of the songs on the EP. We asked him to come in because he knows what an arena sounds like and knows what it’s like to play a big stadium because he’s obviously been playing with the One Direction boys, and he put those influences into our music, which we’re very happy with."

Thompson continued: "It’s called ‘Never Too Late’. It was really great to have Josh there, he’s such a normal guy who loves music and it was a great privilege because he’s played big stadiums and is an amazingly talented guy."

The rest of our interview with Kingsland Road will be on the site later today.
