A reunion of S Club 7 is "close", according to singer Paul Cattermole.

The group split in 2003 after success with tracks like 'Reach' and 'Don't Stop Movin''.

Speculation surrounding their possible reformation has regularly reared its head and recently it has intensified.

Speaking on Twitter, band member Paul Cattermole said that a reunion is becoming more and more likely.

He wrote: "Big thanks too everyone for your support with the Sclub Re-union and thanks too the "Sun" for the @Skuaband "falling" plug.

"Sorry guy's I'm not confirming the S's Re-union . I'm just saying thanks coz there have been thousands of messages over the last year. But it's God Damn close, I can almost.....Reach ......The sword..... (sic)."

All of the members of S Club 7 reportedly met up in July.
