Katy Perry and 5 Seconds of Summer win at MTV VMAs

Katy Perry was one of the big winners at this year's MTV VMAs.

The music video awards ceremony was held on Sunday (August 24) in Los Angeles and a host of top names were honoured.

Perry went home with the Best Female Video gong for her 'Dark Horse' clip, whilst 5 Seconds of Summer bagged the Best Lyric Video prize for 'Don't Stop'.

The Video of the Year award went to Miley Cyrus's 'Wrecking Ball', Ed Sheeran won Best Male Video and Ariana Grande grabbed the Best Pop prize.

Lorde's 'Royals' won Best Rock Video whilst Drake's 'Hold On (We're Going Home)' took the Best Hip-Hop video award.

Fifth Harmony received the Artist to Watch prize whilst Beyoncé was given the coveted Video Vanguard award.
