Music world reacts to first Kate Bush gig in 35 years

Kate Bush has performed her first concert in 35 years.

The singer took to the stage at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday (August 26) to open her 22-date Before The Dawn residency.

It marked her first gig since her one and only tour in 1979.

Bush opened the theatrical show with 'Lily' before running into 'Hounds of Love' and 'Joanni'.

There were also airings of 'Nocturn', 'Among Angels' and the closing 'Cloudbusting'.

The gig was well received by the music world, with some media outlets giving it a 5/5 rating.

A number of celebrities attended the show, with Lily Allen posting a photo on Instagram.

Other music stars who attended included Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Marc Almond, whilst Madonna and David Bowie were rumoured to have been in the audience too.
