Hilary Duff has postponed the release of her comeback album.

The American actress and singer informed her fans that they are going to have to wait longer than expected to hear her new material.

Hilary wrote on Twitter:

“Guys hate to break this news but the album won't be out in October... You will have to wait a few more months.”

Hilary Duff’s currently untitled new record will be her fifth studio LP and is her first album release since 2007’s ‘Dignity’.

The 26-year-old star made her return to music earlier this year by signing with RCA Records and has so far unveiled two singles - 'Chasing The Sun' and 'All About You'.
