Miley Cyrus has opened up on her split from Liam Hemsworth.

The singer was previously engaged to the actor, but the celebrity duo broke up in September last year.

Speaking on Australia's Sunday Night TV show, the US star said that whilst they needed to break up, they still have feelings for each other.

She said: "I love Liam, Liam loves me."

Speaking about the song 'Wrecking Ball', which was penned about her relationship, Cyrus added:

"It's about finding yourself. I had to set myself free."

Referring meanwhile to her often revealing costume choices when playing live, the 'Bangerz' star said:

"I never think about what someone is going to think. I've always been into fashion. I grew up around Dolly Parton, who is all t**s."
