Charli XCX: 'I was worried about falling over at the MTV VMAs'

Hitmaker and songwriter Charli XCX has confessed that she was convinced she might take a tumble in front of the world's press at the recent MTV VMAs ceremony.

During a brief recent interview with MTV News, the 'Boom Clap' songstress admitted that big events make her a little nervous and she was preoccupied with the idea of tripping over all night: "Not falling over at the VMAs was awesome for me. I really genuinely believed that was going to happen."

Meanwhile, Charli XCX opened up about her upcoming tour's potential merchandise and revealed that she wants to celebrate being a woman by selling tampons that have a little catchphrase written on them:

"I’m kind of obsessed with it right now. Periods are really punk. I want to have tampons as merch that say ‘PERIODS ARE PUNK.'”
