Lady Gaga makes it into the 'Oxford Dictionary of Quotations'

The latest edition of the 'Oxford Dictionary of Quotations' includes a phrase said by pop icon Lady Gaga about her career intentions.

The quote in question is, "I’m just trying to change the world one sequin at a time", and it was selected for inclusion in the eighth edition of the book, which is often referred to as the Bible of who said what in the world of notable people.

Other well-respected names to have made it into the book include the late Steve Jobs who said, "It’s more fun to be a pirate than to join the navy", British funnyman Jack Dee, and Mayor of London Boris Johnson with his quote, "My policy on cake is still pro having it and pro eating it."

Gaga, meanwhile, recently opened up about working with Tony Bennett on their collaborative album 'Cheek To Cheek' and explained that the project helped her to rediscover who she is

"You know who I found? I found the Italian girl who was 18 years old and was ready for anything. I found the fighter. I found her again. In this business, you go through all these obstacles and challenges and become like a hardened shell. I had to break through all of that to be able to be authentic when I was singing. Sometimes you have to dig really deep."
