Queen on Adam Lambert: 'He connects with people and converts doubting fans in just three songs'

Last week, iconic rock band Queen sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans and spoke about their recent tour with Adam Lambert and his abilities and talents as the group's frontman.

Legendary guitarist Brian May admitted that after just a few songs with Queen, Lambert manages to win over even the most sceptical audience member:

“We have Mr. Adam Lambert, who is incredible. He ticks [all] the boxes. But more than that, he's not trying to be Freddie [Mercury]. An extraordinary singer with extraordinary range. He connects with the people. It takes about three songs for everyone who has any doubts to go, 'Yeah! Okay. This is cool.'”

In the same interview, May confessed that the tour has been so successful that they're currently working on a schedule to bring it to the UK and mainland Europe: “We’ve just had one of the best tours we’ve ever done, we’ve been to America, Canada, Australia, Asia and New Zealand. We’ve got this amazing singer and it’s a good show. We thought we’d carry on and do Europe and the UK.”
