Tony Bennett thinks Amy Winehouse would be proud of Lady Gaga jazz album

Tony Bennett believes Amy Winehouse would be "proud" of his jazz duets album with Lady Gaga.

The two stars teamed up recently for the record 'Cheek to Cheek', which was released in the UK on Monday (September 22).

Speaking in a Twitter Q&A held on Wednesday (September 24), Bennett and Gaga were asked if they thought of the late Winehouse whilst in the studio, who the fan thought would have been proud.

The 88-year-old, who previously worked with Winehouse, said: "I'm sure that she would be proud and that makes me feel good."

Gaga meanwhile replied: "I thought of her almost every day in the studio. I wish she was still here. She was jazz to her core.

Speaking meanwhile about the uplifting nature of jazz music, the 'Applause' star later said:

"In a world with growing violence and fear, we hope to inspire a simpler time. Music for your hearts to meditate and feel happy."
