Former X Factor star Sam Callahan has confirmed plans to tour the UK later this year.

The singer, who was a finalist on the TV talent show in 2013, will play five shows in England.

The run will kick off on October 26 at Bristol's Thekla before hitting Manchester and Birmingham.

There will be a date at the Wardrobe in Leeds on November 4 before things are concluded in London.

Tickets for the dates will go on sale from Friday (September 26).

The full schedule is as follows:

• October 26 - Bristol, Thekla

• November 2 - Manchester, Sound Control

• November 3 - Birmingham, Institute

• November 4 - Leeds, Wardrobe

• November 10 - London, O2 Academy Islington
