Taylor Swift to oversee challenge at London's Shard building

Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift has challenged two popular Capital Radio presenters to raise as much money as possible for disadvantaged children and young people.

The challenge will see hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon going head-to-head to raise funds for Global's Make Some Noise charity. They have just 11 days to see who can attract the most donations and the person who raises the least will face a dizzying forfeit of accepting a window-cleaning shift at The View from The Shard, which towers 1,000 feet above London.

The 'Shake It Off' beauty will join hosts hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon for a special one-off breakfast show on Thursday, October 9 live from The Shard and speaking about the challenge, Swift explained:

"I have a little challenge for you. I want one of you to wash the windows. Easy you think - but I've arranged for you to do it at the top of the tallest building in the UK ... the Shard! The person that raises the least money between now and then will have to do it. See you there on the 9th!"

Dave Berry confessed that he's a little intimidated by the prospect of cleaning windows that high up: "I'm absolutely terrified of losing out to Lisa on this challenge, so I'm going to need everyone's support. I'm pulling out all the stops to raise as much money as possible for our new charity, Global's Make Some Noise, so please get behind me and donate!"

Lisa Snowdon added: "The forfeit for losing this challenge is possibly one of the most terrifying things I've ever been faced with - thanks Taylor! I need everyone's support on this - help me get Dave up there! Come on London, I need your help!"
