Ashley Roberts reckons she has an "edgy" side despite coming across as the "girl next door".

The singer opened up in the new November issue of FHM about her personality.

She said: "I can be the girl next door, but I can still kick your ass.

"I like to think I have good morals, but I still have a little bit of an edgy side."

Referring meanwhile to her previous group the Pussycat Dolls, Roberts continued:

"There’s a part of me that always has the little bit of the sassy, sexiness in her. That’s probably why I ended up with The Pussycat Dolls in the first place."

Roberts released her debut solo album 'Butterfly Effect' on September 1.
