One Direction are finally 'starting to believe that they're talented and special guys'

Songwriter Julian Bunetta, who worked with One Direction on their new album 'FOUR', has revealed that they pushed boundaries with their last record that have now allowed them even more creative freedom on this next full-length offering.

Speaking to MTV News, Bunetta admitted that 'Midnight Memories' set them apart from their basic contemporaries and they broke the traditional boyband mold:

"I think 'Midnight Memories' was a huge album because they had so much creative input and it worked, and it separated them from the traditional boy band model No one thought it could get any bigger, but it got so much bigger and I think this really gave them even more artistic confidence that they are more than just a band that was put together on a show ['The X Factor' in the U.K.]."

He went onto add that the boys' success is well-deserved because they have the substance to back up their appeal: "They really deserve what they have and that they are special, talented guys, and I think they are starting to believe that. So going into this album, it was a little different because they had that extra bit of confidence of knowing the process, just internal confidence."
