Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran to perform at the 2014 MTV EMAs

Earlier today, MTV confirmed details of two performers that will take the stage at this year's forthcoming Europe Music Awards

The 2014 MTV EMAs will take place in Glasgow at the £125m Hydro Arena, which has a capacity of 13,000, and it is set to be held on Sunday, November 9. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and 'Problem' beauty Ariana Grande have now been announced to perform at the star-studded event.

Speaking about playing live at the ceremony, Sheeran explained that he's really excited: "I’ve never been successful enough in Europe to be part of it, and finally I am, so, yay! I hear there’s another female artist performing. She's got a few ‘problems’ and hangs out with rappers that might be a bit 'fancy.'"

Grande also issued a statement about performing at the event, which will be hosted by rapper Nicki Minaj, and said: "I’m definitely looking forward to being part of the party onstage this year."
