Charli XCX: 'Don't expect an album full of 'Boom Clap' songs, it's way more raw'

Singer-songwriter Charli XCX has opened up about her personal sound and style, and admitted that she loves mixing genres and thinks her debut album, entitled 'Sucker', is very diverse.

During a new interview with Billboard magazine, the beauty explained that she is writing songs for Rihanna and Gwen Stefani, and confessed that her favourite collaboration was a real meeting of genres much like her own duet with Iggy Azalea, 'Fancy':

"'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' is my favourite female collaboration that has been released over the past 20 years. I definitely wanted to create that girl-power kind of vibe with 'Fancy'."

Referring to her single 'Boom Clap', which was featured on the soundtrack for the movie adaptation of 'The Fault In Our Stars', she added that it doesn't represent the overall sound of her debut album:

"I just didn't realise that song would be around for so long. I don't want people to get the album and just expect to hear a record full of 'Boom Clap,' because that's not what it is. It's raw. There's more to me than that."
