Rixton open up about debut album: 'Ed Sheeran wrote a song that features on it'

'Me And My Broken Heart' hitmakers Rixton have announced new details about their forthcoming debut studio album, 'Let The Road'.

The record is due to be released next year on March 2, 2015 via Polydor and it boasts a song written by superstar Ed Sheeran, as well as tracks co-written by the lads themselves and their producer Benny Blanco (Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Jessie J).

Sheeran penned a track called 'Hotel Ceiling' for the album and speaking about the collection of songs that make it up, Rixton's Jake Roche explained that they've been working on it for some time now:

"'Let The Road' is something we're incredibly proud of. Songs have survived 6 years to make it on this album, back when me and Danny were writing in the caravan having no idea where they would end up. We feel incredibly humbled to be able to share this with our fans, and we hope you enjoy listening to it just as much as we enjoyed making it.”"

The tracklisting for the boys' debut album is as follows:

  • 'Let The Road'
  • 'Wait On Me'
  • 'Appreciated'
  • 'Beautiful Excuses'
  • 'Me And My Broken Heart'
  • 'Hotel Ceiling'
  • 'I Like Girls'
  • 'Speakerphone'
  • 'We All Want The Same Thing'
  • 'Whole'
