'The Only Way Is Essex' beauty Samantha Faiers recently released her first perfume, 'La Bella, and she has opened up about creating the scent, from designing the packaging to selecting the notes that make up the fragrance, in a new interview with Pressparty. 

So you recently unveiled your debut fragrance, La Bella. How involved were you in creating the scent and why did you choose the different notes (vanilla, iris flower, caramel) that make up the perfume?

I wanted to build a fragrance that was elegant and pretty, I wanted it to mean something to me. I didn't want to put my name to just anything. I was involved with everything in the fragrance from the bottle to the scent. I'm so excited about the new La Bella gift set that's out and also I've been working on my lash range Lashes by Samantha which will be out this year as well.

The packaging for La Bella is also very elegant, what inspired its design?

I love the packaging design. I wanted to go for something that was quite simple but yeah it had a touch of class and elegance to it.

Is wearing perfume something that’s important to you when putting together a particular look for an event? Do you have a signature scent that gives you a boost of confidence?

Yeah definitely. I feel like if you smell nice it does give you that extra confidence.

La Bella was named the best-selling celebrity fragrance at The Fragrance Shop this year – are you pleased with the reception it has received since being released? Would you consider launching a second perfume in the future?

It’s so amazing! I was so excited and chuffed when I heard the news. Everyone involved in the long process worked so hard so hard to get it right. So it was all worth it in the end. I’m so excited about the Le Bella gift set that includes an amazing Shimmering Body Lotion, which is perfect to get an amazing sheen for a night out!

Health and fitness are both things that seem to be very important to you – is there a go-to workout routine that you love? Do you have a gym playlist or a particular song that gets you really motivated? What do you listen to while working out?

Yeah it's really important for me to stay healthy and fit. I try to eat really healthily especially since my Crohn's diagnosis but I still treat myself to the odd glass of wine. I don't have a go to work out as such but I work out with a trainer a few times a week and if I am at home watching telly or something I will try and get in some sit ups everyday. I prefer to listen to something upbeat when I am working out to keep me motivated.

What would be your favourite beauty tip or beauty secret?

I always make sure I moisturise, it is really important to me to keep my skin looking young and fresh. My basic go to makeup items include Smashbox BB Cream, a little bit of Mac blusher and a tiny bit of eyeliner to line my eyes.
