Mel B has been announced as one of this year's MOBO Awards hosts.

The X Factor host will line-up alongside Xtra Factor's Sarah-Jane Crawford at the event on October 22.

The ceremony is taking place at London's Wembley Arena and Crawford said on Twitter about the news:

"I'm thrilled to announce that my co-host for the @MOBOAwards this year is a SPICE !!!! The one and only @OfficialMelB !! #GetIn."

Sam Smith meanwhile is nominated four times for this year's awards.

He is up for the Best Male, Best R&B/Soul, Best Album and Best Song ('Stay With Me') prizes.

Other nominees include Krept & Konan, Jessie J and Rita Ora.
