Simon Cowell: 'Working with One Direction gives me more of a buzz than being on TV'

Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he is more excited about being involved in the collective career of boyband One Direction than he is about being a television personality. 

Speaking to the Financial Times recently, Cowell admitted that he can't get over how well the lads have done in the industry and he's really happy to have such an active role in their success:

"Luckily, I was dragged kicking and screaming on to TV in the first place. I'm not going to deny that I've liked it. I mean, I've had a great time. There are definitely more pluses than minuses to it, and there is quite a buzz when people recognise you. But if I'm being honest, it's more of a buzz being part of One Direction than being on television."

'Story Of My Life' heartthrob Harry Styles, meanwhile, recently opened up about the things that make him proud and confessed that as long as his parents are happy with what he's doing, he is content: "The things that make me the most proud are what make my parents' freak out... Like, my Grandma doesn't understand the VMA's, but when we met the Queen..."
