Mel B has reached out to Taylor Swift in the hope of recording a song together.

The X Factor judge met the US star on Sunday (October 12) when she performed live on the show.

The 'Red' singer impressed with a rendition of new single 'Shake It Off' and it seems Mel B was impressed.

She tweeted Swift today (October 13): "You were great last night, lovley to meet you too, what a sweetie, let's do a song together :) (sic)."

Speaking earlier about her performance, the country-pop icon said on Instagram:

"Shout out to all of the fantastic dancers who were phenomenal up there and looked hella good in tuxes."

The '1989' star has yet to repy to Mel B's invitation.

Swift was joined on the show's bill by fellow American Pharrell Williams.
