Kesha files lawsuit against Dr. Luke for alleged sexual assault and forcible drug use

'Die Young' pop sensation Kesha has filed a lawsuit against her former producer, Dr. Luke, in which she claims that he physically, emotionally, and sexually abused her over a 10-year period.

This shocking information came to light this week after the 27-year-old superstar explained that Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, made repeated sexual advances on her and would force her to consume alcohol and drugs in order to lower her inhibitions and defenses.

In the lawsuit, the 'Blow' songstress asserts that Dr. Luke gave her what she called "sober pills" and explained that she later woke up naked in his bed with no memory of the events that led up to that point.

She is now asking the judge dealing with the case to let her out of a contract with the producer.

Mark Geragos, her lawyer, explained in a statement obtained by TMZ that the lawsuit is a "wholehearted effort" by Kesha to "regain control of her music career after suffering for 10 years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke."

“The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Kesha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time.”
