Tattoo artist on Rihanna: 'She's not what you expect a celebrity to be'

Cally-Jo Pothecary, pictured left, has spoken out about tattooing Bajan beauty Rihanna and revealed that she was surprised at how easy-going the 'Umbrella' superstar really is.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, the 24-year-old fine art graduate explained that inking the singer's skin was a lot of fun and she was happy to learn that Rihanna was so 'relaxed' because it makes her job easier when a client is comfortable:

"Rihanna was amazing to work with, I love how down-to-earth she is. She's really not what you would expect from a celebrity, she is just so relaxed and nice."

Cally-Jo collaborated with well-known artist Bang Bang on a design for a cover-up that was created for Rihanna's hand and she explained that she had a lot of creative input:

"She wanted a cover up on her hand and she definitely wanted something henna inspired, so we looked at lots and lots of different henna patterns and styles and drew it on a few different times and a few ways and finally settled on the style. She was great, and the hand is a really painful area, so I was actually quite surprised how she took it because I actually squirmed when I had my hand done, she was absolutely brilliant."
