Pete Wentz on 'getting happy': 'My personal life was a hot mess'

Musician Pete Wentz has revealed that he went through a particularly trying period in his life where he felt as though everything was 'a mess' and decided to take matters into his own hands and actively work to fix his problems instead of letting them spiral further out of control.

During an interview with London's Metro newspaper, Wentz explained that he was really struggling so decided that he needed to work hard to pull himself out of the situation:

"I didn't know what to do with myself. My personal life was a hot mess. So I decided I was going to get happy on my own. I took my kid [Bronx, now five] to pre-school, I went to my local coffee shop."

Once the 'Alone Together' hitmaker felt as though he was back on track with his life and mindset, Wentz confessed that he was wary about reuniting with Fall Out Boy because he didn't know how it would impact him: "I thought, 'I'm happy now and I don't know whether adding Fall Out Boy back into the mix will mess with that.' So there was a bit of trepidation."
