Pink Floyd's new album beats One Direction to become the most pre-ordered album everIconic rock band Pink Floyd are gearing up to release a brand new album called 'The Endless River' and it has now become Amazon's most pre-ordered album of all time beating current record holders One Direction, who previously held the title with their 2013 record 'Midnight Memories'. The album is due to be released on November 10 and pre-sale figures have exceeded those for the 'Story Of My Life' heartthrobs' offering, putting them firmly in first place. Back in October, Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason praised One Direction's back catalogue and admitted that the boyband have some great tracks: "They have some good songs. I don’t subscribe to this idea that musicians don’t make good music anymore. The standard of musicians is higher now than it was in my day."
