Michelle Williams: 'Whitney Houston urged Destiny's Child to stay together'

Hitmaker Michelle Williams has revealed that she once met the late Whitney Houston in a hotel in Los Angeles and she had some advice for her and the other Destiny's Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé

During a new interview with the Huffington Post, the beauty explained that her encounter with Houston was overwhelming and she explained how the songstress was "encouraging us. She said, 'Y'all stay together, stick together, love each other.'"

Recalling her reaction to meeting the late icon, Williams said that it was hard to keep it together as she looked up to Houston as a role model and source of inspiration: "I stayed normal, cause it's nerve-racking for me when someone sees me and they freak out, so I don't do that to other people."

She added that when she returned to her hotel room, she completely lost her cool and composure: "I got the pillow, put it up to my face, and just went into convulsions, and screams of joy."
