Dave Grohl on meeting Prince Harry: 'I was like, 'hey, what's up dude!''

Earlier this autumn, the Foo Fighters performed a live set at the Invictus Games in London after being invited by Prince Harry and frontman Dave Grohl revealed that he said hello to the royal in a very laid-back way.

During an interview with Britain's 'The One Show', the rocker explained that he was worried that he had broken protocol for meeting members of the royal family as he greeted the Prince in such a casual manner:

"We didn't know how to address him, (we didn't know) the etiquette, and so when I met him it's like, 'Hey man! What's up, dude!' and then the next person in line was (saying) 'Your Highness' and I didn't know what to do. But he was great, very cool... I think he might have called me 'dude', I can't remember. He was very cool."

Grohl, meanwhile, recently told Britain's The Guardian newspaper that he will happily chat to anyone as long as they're interesting: “I was the one punk rock kid in my high school, but rather than be an outcast, I was everybody’s friend. I could hang out with stoners and nerds and jocks, I didn’t have a problem with that. People are people, I don’t give a s**t. You could be Demi Lovato or the f**king drummer from Pantera – I don’t care, let’s have a drink!”
