Clive Davis reveals extreme pride over Whitney Houston's talent and career

Clive Davis, Sony's chief creative officer and former mentor to the late Whitney Houston, has revealed that he is incredibly proud of all of the icon's work and has several memories of her that will never fade.

He told Billboard magazine that her stunning performance of 'One Moment In Time' at the 1989 GRAMMYs is one of them: "She was lifting the audience out of their seats in an environment [where] people don't have to do a roaring, standing ovation. But they did."

Davis (pictured above left with Houston), meanwhile, is currently promoting her new posthumous album, entitled 'Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances', which was released on November 10.

Houston's sister-in-law, Pat, recently told reporters that she turned down an offer to allow a hologram of the vocal sensation to perform: "I don't know how I would feel about [a hologram] and certainly I've been approached to do a project of that magnitude, and I said, 'No.' But who knows what the future holds. I mean, it's just been only two and half years. Maybe down the road."
