S Club 7 insist reunion tour isn't just about money

S Club 7 have stated that their forthcoming UK tour is more than just a money-making scheme.

The group confirmed a series of 2015 arena dates on Monday (November 17) following a reunion medley for Children In Need.

Speaking to the Mirror, singer Jon Lee said that whilst money forms a part of their decision to reunite, things run deeper.

He said: "Well, that's true [about the money]. This is our job, this is how we earn our money. That's not the only reason why we're doing it. We wouldn't do this if we didn't love it and that's the main reason why we're here."

Jo O'Meara added: "It is true. But you have to get paid for the job that you do. You've got to love this job to do it."

The full tour schedule meanwhile is as follows:

  • May 7 - LG Arena, Birmingham
  • May 8 - Manchester Arena
  • May 9 - Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
  • May 11 - BIC, Bournemouth
  • May 12 - Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
