S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara has defended herself after being criticised online.

The pop group reunited for a special medley on last week's Children In Need programme.

Some people derided the Brit's live vocals online, but the singer told ITV's Loose Women that she was just nervous.

O'Meara said: "I did [got stick] and I don't blame them. 

"I was so nervous. It was the first time I'd performed in such a long time that my voice just gave out. I think it was the countdown and the adrenaline started going."
