A tribute concert will be held next month in honour of keyboard player Isaiah 'Ikey' Owens.

The musician passed away in October aged 38 in his hotel room in Mexico after suffering a heart attack.

He was touring with Jack White at the time and previously was a member of The Mars Volta.

A gig called Songs In The Key Of Ikey Owens will be held in Texas on December 1 to honour the late star.

The free event will feature Austin and Long Beach musicians that previously worked with Owens.

Jack White meanwhile dedicated his show at London's O2 Arena on November 19 to the musician.
