Queen's Brian May: 'Our show with Adam Lambert is equal to anything we did with Freddie Mercury'

Superstar Adam Lambert has been doing an incredible job performing with Queen over the past couple of years and original member Brian May has praised his stage presence and vocal prowess as being as good as the band's legendary and well-loved frontman.

During an interview with Neu magazine, the iconic guitarist explained that having Lambert as their current frontman is amazing because his energy and talent equals that of the late Freddie Mercury:

"The energy which we generate in an arena is I would say as strong as ever — and I think Freddie would agree with me. I don’t think he would be upset with me saying that. I think the Queen show today that we do with Adam Lambert is the equal of anything we ever did.”

Queen and Adam Lambert, meanwhile, are set to play a special concert on New Year's Eve for BBC One in the UK and it will take place at the Westminster Central Hall just before midnight.
