Lorde and Lana Del Rey are among the music related nominees for next year's Golden Globes.

The nominations for the January 11 ceremony were confirmed today (December 11).

Lorde is up for the Best Original Song gong for her Hunger Games song 'Yellow Flicker Beat'.

Del Rey is also nominated for the same award, with her 'Big Eyes' song getting a nod.

They will fight against the likes of John Legend, Patti Smith and Quvenzhané Wallis for the prize.

Trent Reznor's Gone Girl soundtrack meanwhile is nominated for Best Original Score and he will face off against musicians like Hans Zimmer and Jóhann Jóhannsson.

Elsewhere, the film Birdman is up for seven awards whilst Benedict Cumberbatch is up for Best Actor in a Movie Drama for his role in The Imitation Game.
