Ronnie Wood had 'so much fun' playing with One Direction

Ronnie Wood has spoken of his delight at performing with One Direction.

The Rolling Stones guitarist shared the stage with the boyband on the X Factor on Sunday night (December 14).

He played his instrument during a surprise rendition of the group's song 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go'.

Speaking on Twitter after the show, the legendary axeman wrote:

"Really enjoyed tonight, playing live with the boys was so much fun @zaynmalik @Harry_Styles @Louis_Tomlinson @Real_Liam_Payne @NiallOfficial."

Wood performed alongside Louis Tomlinson at the event despite the singer sitting out of a previous performance in France at the NRJ Awards due to illness.

The Brit managed to recover from his ill health, however, to take to the X Factor stage a day later.
