Pink Floyd's David Gilmour performs with Bombay Bicycle Club

Pink Floyd star David Gilmour shared the stage with Bombay Bicycle Club at the weekend.

The guitarist and vocalist made a surprise appearance during the band's set at London's Earls Court on Saturday (December 13).

He played lap steel guitar on Bombay Bicycle Club's 'Rinse Me Down' before leading the band through Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.

Bombay Bicycle Club's Jamie MacColl introduced Gilmour to the stage by saying:

"This man gave me my first guitar and was one of the first people to play this venue and by my count has played here more than 27 times."

The gig was the last concert to be held at Earls Court, with the building set to be demolished and redeveloped.
